Quantity Surveyor (Cavan)

A growing Irish main contractor delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, and public sectors is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cavan.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior QS in the commercial management of projects.
- Ensure the subcontractor procurement process is handled efficiently and on schedule.
- Prepare detailed trade and contract budgets.
- Analyse package costs and negotiate effectively with subcontractors.
- Coordinate subcontractor appointments and maintain accurate accounts.
- Oversee subcontractor payment processes.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and interim valuations.
- Manage change orders and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry.
- Degree qualified in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
- Developing understanding of the full project lifecycle, including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
- Highly organised and self-motivated.
