Quantity Surveyor (Cavan)

€65k - €75k per annum

A growing Irish main contractor delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, and public sectors is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cavan.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior QS in the commercial management of projects.
  • Ensure the subcontractor procurement process is handled efficiently and on schedule.
  • Prepare detailed trade and contract budgets.
  • Analyse package costs and negotiate effectively with subcontractors.
  • Coordinate subcontractor appointments and maintain accurate accounts.
  • Oversee subcontractor payment processes.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and interim valuations.
  • Manage change orders and variations throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry.
  • Degree qualified in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
  • Developing understanding of the full project lifecycle, including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated.
