Shop Assistant

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant to join our team in Limerick.

This is a customer-facing role in a local food store. The successful candidate will help with the day-to-day running of the shop and ensure customers receive a friendly and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly service.
• Operating the till and processing customer payments.
• Replenishing and organising products on shelves.
• Receiving and checking deliveries.
• Checking product dates and rotating stock.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-presented shop floor.
• Assisting with stock checks and inventory.
• Answering customer questions and assisting with product enquiries.
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Supporting other day-to-day store activities as required.

Requirements

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable and responsible approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends.
• Previous retail experience is an advantage but not essential full training will be provided.
