Our client, a well-established accountancy and business advisory firm in Limerick, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious tax specialist who enjoys working closely with clients, managing complex tax assignments, and leading a talented team. With significant growth plans, this role offers a genuine opportunity to progress to Tax Partner level within the next three years.
The Role
As Tax Manager, you will lead a small but experienced tax team while managing a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and reviewing high-net-worth individual tax returns and corporate tax returns.
- Providing tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client base.
- Supporting the corporate finance and accounting teams on business transfers, restructures, and succession planning projects.
- Reviewing tax compliance work prepared by junior team members.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients on a broad range of tax matters.
- Managing assignments from initial planning through to completion.
- Supporting, mentoring, and developing members of the tax team.
- Liaising with Revenue and external stakeholders as required.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance client service offerings and support business growth.
Candidate Profile
- CTA / AITI qualified.
- Strong tax experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.
- Experience across income tax, corporate tax, and general tax advisory work.
- Big 4, mid-tier, or SME practice background considered.
- Strong technical knowledge coupled with commercial awareness.
- Proven ability to take ownership of complex assignments and deliver high-quality client outcomes.
- Leadership potential with the capability to mentor and guide a team.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ambitious and motivated by long-term career progression opportunities.
