Supply Planning & Logistics Manager required to manage 3 main warehouses and regional depots. Galway. Hybrid role.
Key responsibility for end-to-end supply chain of all core and non-core product ensuring product availability, cost efficiency, and operational reliability. This includes ownership of multi-product inventory, warehousing (3 main warehouses and regional depots), fleet, premises, and all non-core procurement activities, while leading and embedding a strong health and safety culture across all areas of responsibility, ensuring full compliance and proactive risk management across teams, sites, and fleet operations. - Ensure optimal stock levels across all sites (availability vs working capital)
- Lead demand planning in line with sales forecasts and service schedules
- Reduce stock loss, obsolescence, and slow-moving inventory
- Implement robust stock control processes and cycle counts
- Own SKU rationalisation and standardisation where appropriate
- Lead operations across 3 warehouses and regional depots
- Drive efficiency in goods-in, storage, picking, and dispatch
- Standardise processes across locations
- Ensure strong health & safety compliance
- Oversee full lifecycle of fleet (acquisition, maintenance, utilisation, replacement)
- Ensure fleet availability aligns with service/delivery demand
- Manage contracts, leasing providers, and cost control
- Drive compliance (CVRT, tax, insurance, driver policies)
- Improve route efficiency and vehicle utilisation
- Lead and embed a strong health & safety culture across all fleet operations, including driver behaviour, vehicle safety standards, incident prevention, and compliance with road and workplace safety legislation
- Manage supplier relationships (equipment, consumables, logistics providers)
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and service levels
- Ensure supplier performance tracking and continuity planning
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without impacting service
- Oversee warehouse and depot infrastructure
- Ensure facilities are fit-for-purpose, safe, and compliant
- Manage maintenance schedules and vendor contracts
- Support expansion or consolidation initiatives
- Identify and deliver process improvements (lean, efficiency gains)
- Drive digitalisation (ERP optimisation, stock visibility, tracking)
- Introduce KPIs and reporting dashboards
- Lead or support transformation projects (e.g. depot optimisation, fleet strategy)
- Work with Operations (service/delivery planning, Sales (demand forecasting, promotions impact), Finance (inventory value, cost control) and Customer Care (service reliability issues)
- Align supply chain to business growth and customer expectations
- Proven experience in multi-site supply chain/logistics leadership
- Strong inventory management in a field-service or asset-heavy environment
- Fleet management experience
- Experience in both operational and strategic roles
- Commercial awareness
- Strong stakeholder management across functions
