The Company

A well-established Irish mechanical engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering mechanical building services projects across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial, industrial and data centre sectors.

With a growing portfolio of projects throughout Dublin and the Leinster region, the company is recognised for delivering high-quality mechanical installations while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Project Engineer to join their Dublin team.


The Role: Project Engineer

As Project Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects across Dublin from design coordination through installation, commissioning and handover. Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams, you will ensure works are completed safely, to specification and in line with programme requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Engineer looking to develop their career with an established mechanical contractor delivering technically challenging projects across the Dublin region.


Must Have Requirements

  • Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Proven experience required working as a Project Engineer or Mechanical Engineer on mechanical building services projects.
  • Experience working with a mechanical contractor or M&E contractor in Ireland is required.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical services installations, drawings and specifications.
  • Full driving licence.
Preferred Experience

  • Pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial or data centre project experience.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit or BIM software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and procurement processes.
Nice to Have

  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling.
  • First Aid or other relevant site certifications.
  • Experience with quality management and commissioning processes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager with the delivery of mechanical building services projects.
  • Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Assist with procurement of plant and materials.
  • Monitor project progress against programme and report on key milestones.
  • Ensure installations comply with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants and design teams.
  • Assist with testing, commissioning and project handover documentation.
  • Promote high standards of health and safety across all project activities.
About You

You are a motivated Project Engineer with a strong mechanical background and experience delivering building services projects. You are organised, technically competent and comfortable working with multidisciplinary project teams. You communicate well with clients, subcontractors and colleagues and enjoy taking ownership of your work while contributing to successful project delivery.
