Painter & Decorator - Maintenance Team

We are currently recruiting a Painter & Decorator to join our Maintenance Team.

This role is key to ensuring our property is maintained to a high standard, creating a safe, comfortable and well-presented environment for guests and staff.

Hours:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday - Weekends off
• 8.00am - 4.30pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works across the property
• Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, filling, priming, cleaning)
• Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes using appropriate tools and equipment
• Complete minor repairs to walls, ceilings, woodwork and fixtures prior to decorating
• Conduct routine inspections and identify areas requiring repair or redecoration
• Maintain tools, materials and workspaces in a clean and safe condition
• Follow all health & safety procedures when using equipment, ladders and materials
• Work closely with the wider maintenance team on general upkeep and projects
• Assist with other general maintenance duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in painting & decorating or general maintenance
• Good attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality finishes
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices
• Reliable, organised and proactive approach
• Ability to work across multiple properties within the hotel group in the Athlone region
