Site Manager (Construction)

A Site Manager is required for a well-established contractor delivering civil infrastructure projects across Clare and Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing team and lead the successful delivery of a range of civil engineering projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil infrastructure and will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties:
• Manage day-to-day site operations on civil infrastructure projects across Clare and Limerick.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and programme requirements.
• Work closely with the Contracts Manager, Project Manager, and Site Engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and implement measures to maintain programme targets.
• Oversee quality control procedures and ensure work is completed to the required standards.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure all site activities comply with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Chair site meetings, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.
• Manage labour, plant, materials, and resources to maximise productivity and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate site records and prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
• Liaise with engineers, consultants, local authorities, and utility providers as required.
• Identify and resolve site issues in a proactive and timely manner.
Requirements:
• 5+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience delivering civil infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage, utilities, public realm, or other public works projects.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Strong understanding of project planning, programming, and resource management.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations within the Irish construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Relevant construction or engineering qualification preferred.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
• Full driving licence.
