Experience: 3+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is a premier Irish main contractor delivering large-scale commercial, civil, and industrial projects nationwide.

The Quantity Surveyor is required to manage the company’s financial interests and contractual relationships while supporting project delivery from mobilisation through to the settlement of final accounts.

They will focus on cost and value management, assisting with junior staff development, and working towards progression to Senior Quantity Surveyor level.

Participate in the procurement of specialist trades and prepare appointment recommendations for senior management

Assist in drafting robust subcontract agreements and manage contractual relationships across the supply chain

Receive, assess, and settle subcontractor interim payment valuations and final accounts

Review developing design information and advise the project team on cost implications and value engineering opportunities

Complete and agree monthly payment valuations for submission to the Employer’s Representative

Participate in monthly internal cost reporting including Cost vs. Value Reconciliations (CVRs), turnover reports, and project outcome projections

Play a key role in the preparation and negotiation of the project final account submission

Provide proactive contractual advice to the Project Director and support trainee or graduate quantity surveyors

Requirements

Level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

3+ years' post-graduate experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within main contracting

Strong knowledge of standard Irish construction contracts and procurement practices

Proficient in MS Office with exposure to measurement software such as Bluebeam, CostX, or Cubit

Demonstrated ability in managing subcontractor accounts, client valuations, and internal CVR reporting

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills with ambition to progress to Senior QS
