We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join the team in The Leinster. The ideal candidate will have a passion for details, with previous experience in Housekeeping, cleaning or hospitality roles.

Job Purpose
The Housekeeping Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring guest comfort, satisfaction, and safety through daily cleaning and servicing of rooms and hotel areas. This hands-on position contributes directly to the guest experience by maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and working efficiently as part of the housekeeping team.
Key Deliverables
Room & Public Area Servicing
- Clean and service guest rooms to the required brand standard
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, public restrooms, stairways, and other common areas
- Replace guest amenities and restock stationery, towels, and linens as needed
- Clean carpets, hard floors, furnishings, and surfaces using appropriate techniques
- Remove rubbish and dirty linen using trolleys and designated disposal points
Operational Accuracy & Support
- Report any maintenance or damage issues promptly to the Housekeeping Manager
- Communicate room status (e.g. DND, no service, vacant) clearly and consistently
- Ensure trolleys are cleaned and stocked at the end of each shift
- Collect and return food trays, keeping corridors clear and safe
Guest Interaction & Professionalism
- Greet guests in a polite, friendly manner and respond to requests when needed
- Assist with luggage handling or directions when requested
- Ensure guest privacy and security is maintained at all times
- Handle keys responsibly and return them at the end of each shift
Health & Safety & Procedures
- Follow all hotel policies, including fire safety, manual handling, and hygiene standards
- Know emergency evacuation procedures and participate in drills and training
- Keep staff areas clean, organised, and hazard-free
- Record and hand over lost property items according to hotel policy
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in hotel or housekeeping preferred but not essential
- Positive, can-do attitude with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented
- Flexibility to work early and late shifts, including weekends
