Social Care Worker Residential Services (Service Area 4) Location: Greater Dublin Area Contract Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Permanent Contracts Available Closing Date: 30th November 2025 Join Our Team at St. Michaels House St. Michaels House is currently recruiting Social Care Workers to join our community residential services in Service Area 4 Nurse-Led Service, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated and skilled staff team delivering high-quality, person-centred supports in a residential environment. You will work collaboratively with Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs), a multi-disciplinary team, and families to support the wellbeing and independence of residents. As a Social Care Worker, you will also support and work collaboratively within the team in delivering a holistic service, working within a biopsychosocial model to ensure that all individual needsphysical, emotional, social, and psychologicalare fully met. We are funded by the Health Service Executive (HSE), TUSLA, and the Department of Education and Skills. Essential Criteria Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans. Experience in a key working role that promotes independence and community integration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Eligible to work in Ireland. Essential Qualifications (One of the following is required): QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) Open Training College Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social Care Practice Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Applied Social Care Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies from an Institute of Technology, DIT, or National University of Ireland CORU registration (in progress or completed) as a Social Care Worker For a full list of approved qualifications, click here Desirable Criteria Full, clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of your role. Salary Scale You will be paid in line with the HSE Revised Consolidated Pay Scale (March 2025): €39,951 (Point 1) €56,089 (Point 14) per annum (based on a 39-hour week). Note: Applicants without prior public sector experience will begin at Point 1.
