Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Site Manager to take responsibility for environmental, health and safety activities at a busy operational site. Reporting to site management, you will lead the development and implementation of EHS programmes, policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EHS professional to provide strategic guidance, strengthen safety culture and drive continuous improvement across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and EPA licence requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for regulatory inspections, audits and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert EHS advice and support to management and employees.
- Promote accident prevention, hazard identification and effective risk management.
- Develop and implement environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees understand their EHS responsibilities and provide training where required.
- Manage EHS audit and surveillance programmes.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Establish safety objectives, performance measures and improvement programmes.
- Work with senior management and EHS teams to address non-conformances and deficiencies.
- Maintain effective EHS systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 37301 requirements.
- Support internal and external management systems audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an EHS Manager role.
- Proven experience managing Industrial Emissions (IE) Licensed facilities and liaising with the EPA.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Experience with IE Licence applications is desirable.
- Waste Licence experience would be advantageous.
