Site Supervisor

€65k - €75k per annum

A leading main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and apartment developments across Ireland is seeking a Site Supervisor with a trades background for a long-term role in Cork City. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson or emerging site supervisor to step into a leadership role on major residential projects with clear progression opportunities.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of large-scale residential and apartment developments, working closely with site management to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the supervision and coordination of daily site operations on residential and apartment construction projects in Cork City
• Assist in managing subcontractors and direct site teams to ensure smooth workflow across all trades
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with project drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
• Promote and enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company procedures on site
• Assist in monitoring quality of workmanship across all residential construction activities
• Support efficient use of materials, labour, and resources to maintain programme targets
• Liaise with site management and engineers to ensure clear communication of progress and site issues
• Assist with site reporting, including daily records, progress updates, and issue tracking
• Help coordinate sequencing of works across multiple trades on busy residential sites
• Identify and escalate any site issues, delays, or safety concerns to senior management

Requirements:
• Trades background essential (carpentry, bricklaying, construction, or similar)
• Experience working on residential or apartment construction projects preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in a site-based construction role (Supervisor, Foreman Assistant, or similar)
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations
• Good knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites
• Strong communication and team coordination skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced residential construction environment
• Leadership qualities with a willingness to take on responsibility and progress into a Foreman role
• Full driving licence preferred

Salary and Benefits:
• Salary circa €65,000 – €75,000 depending on experience
