Job Description – Senior OpenShift SME (Bare Metal Deployments)

Location: Dublin 18 (3 days onsite per week)

Duration: End of year with possible extension

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior OpenShift SME with extensive experience in OpenShift deployments on Bare Metal infrastructure . The ideal candidate will be both a strategic advisor and a hands-on engineer, capable of designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and optimizing OpenShift environments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy OpenShift clusters on bare metal infrastructure .
  
• Provide architectural guidance and best practice recommendations.
  
• Perform hands-on installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  
• Support infrastructure integration, networking, storage, and security.
  
• Work closely with client teams to resolve technical issues and optimise platform performance.
  
• Implement automation where possible and support operational readiness.
  

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience with OpenShift and container platforms.
  
• Strong experience delivering OpenShift on Bare Metal environments.
  
• Proven experience with Kubernetes administration.
  
• Experience in enterprise infrastructure and platform engineering.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Experience advising clients on infrastructure and platform architecture.
  
• Comfortable working in a hands-on technical delivery role.
  

Experience Required: 7+ years with OpenShift, including significant hands-on experience deploying and managing OpenShift on Bare Metal infrastructure.
