Key Responsibilities:
- Site Inspections and Audits:
Assist in conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and policies. - Health and Safety Compliance:
Support the implementation of health and safety regulations and company policies in line with local and national legislation. - Risk Assessments:
Assist in preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements for construction activities. - Training and Awareness:
Support the delivery of health and safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for site personnel. - Incident Reporting and Investigation:
Record and report near-misses, accidents, and incidents, and participate in investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. - Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of site inspections, audits, and incident reports. Prepare reports and updates for the Health and Safety Manager. - PPE Compliance:
Monitor the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by employees and contractors. - Promoting Safety Culture:
Encourage a proactive approach to health and safety by fostering a culture of awareness and accountability among all employees and subcontractors
- A recognised qualification in Health and Safety.
- Previous experience in a construction or health and safety-related role (e.g., internship or work placement).
- Strong interest in health and safety within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and construction practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel to various construction sites as required.
