Health & Safety Officer (Frankfurt)

We are hiring for a Health & Safety Officer for a site-based role in Frankfurt . This role is on a large data centre project and you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards across construction activities, supporting safe project delivery through inspections, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve subcontractor EHS documentation, including RAMS, training records, and safety statements
• Prepare and issue Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Site-Specific Safety Statements
• Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits on site
• Deliver EHS training and inductions for employees
• Investigate, record, and report accidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and performance
• Attend site safety meetings and daily EHS briefings
• Support continuous improvement of site safety standards and compliance

Requirements

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a construction or engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance standards
• Experience managing subcontractor safety documentation and compliance
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Proactive approach to safety management and risk mitigation
• Ability to work independently in a site-based, fast-paced environment

Benefits

• Salary: €65,000 – €75,000 DOE
• Rotation: Two week cycle with company paid flights
• Accommodation in country plus utilities and bills covered
• Travel Allowance
• Performance based annual bonus
