A warm and welcoming family based in Killarney, Co. Kerry are seeking an experienced, professional Housekeeper/Nanny to help manage their busy household and support their four children, aged 9, 11, 14 and 16 years.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. The role is primarily focused on housekeeping (approximately 70%), with childcare responsibilities making up the remaining 30%. Both parents work full-time in demanding roles. The start date is August 2026.

Their current Housekeeper/Nanny has been with them for an incredible 11 years and highly recommends the position, speaking very warmly of the family and the supportive working environment. They are now looking for someone equally committed to become part of their household for the long term.

The family are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a well-organised home, has excellent attention to detail and exceptionally high housekeeping standards, and can confidently keep the household running smoothly.

Housekeeping duties will include:

  • General daily cleaning and tidying throughout the home.
  • Making beds and maintaining tidy, organised bedrooms.
  • Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and living areas.
  • Hoovering, dusting, laundry and ironing.
  • Keeping the home organised and running efficiently.
  • Running occasional household errands, such as the post office or dry cleaning.
  • Assisting with grocery shopping and household supplies.
  • Preparing healthy, home-cooked family meals.

Childcare responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting the children from school and driving them to and from after-school activities.
  • Supervising homework and encouraging good study habits.
  • Preparing after-school snacks and evening meals.
  • Providing a caring, calm and supportive presence within the home.
  • Helping to maintain the children’s routines and ensuring they have everything they need for school and activities.

The ideal candidate will be warm, proactive, highly organised and able to work independently. They should enjoy working in a busy family environment, be flexible, reliable and have a genuine interest in supporting both the household and the children.

A full, clean driving licence is essential with own car.

Fluent English is required. Occasional evening or weekend babysitting may be requested by prior arrangement.
