We are hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing for a hospital in Galway, Ireland , on a 1-Year Fixed-Term Contract . (37.5 Hours Per Week)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strong professional and clinical leadership within the nursing team

  • Deliver safe, comprehensive, and person-centred nursing care in accordance with NMBI standards and guidelines

  • Monitor, manage, and evaluate clinical and professional standards using an evidence-based approach to care planning

  • Manage an individual caseload effectively in line with the requirements and needs of the role

  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining effective communication and cooperation with colleagues

Requirements

  • Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)

  • Have a minimum of 7 years’ post-registration nursing experience

  • Demonstrate a proven track record in nursing management at CNM3 level or above

  • Demonstrate strong clinical, leadership, managerial, and administrative competencies required for a senior nursing leadership role

  • Have proven experience in implementing service improvements and driving positive change

  • Have experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary and multi-professional environment

  • Possess extensive knowledge and experience of nursing management principles and practices

  • Ideally hold, or be currently pursuing, a relevant management or leadership qualification

  • Demonstrate basic computer literacy and proficiency in relevant IT systems
