Floating Steel Cleaner

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for a Floating Steel Cleaner Operative within Steel Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning our steel structural components and preparing them for shot blasting and painting.  The ideal candidate must produce parts to a high quality and standard, and in an efficient manner to meet production and shipping demands.

-    Use a variety of tools i.e.  7” grinder, 4” grinder, chisel for filing spatter, hammer, air gun, tungsten grinder.
-    Know and apply the correct finish i.e. Breaking edges, sanding, grinding and deburring.
-    Understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
-    Use of overhead cranes.
-    Use of MEWP working at height when needed.

Qualifications Requirements and Experience

-    Experience of working with grinders.
-    Must be available to work shift 06:30 to 15:00 / 15:00 to 23:30.
