Bridge Design Engineer - Engineering Consultancy - Dublin / Cork

Pay: Salary 50k - 65k

Experience: 3+ years' experience in bridge design

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is an award-winning Irish engineering consultancy specializing in civil, structural, environmental, and transportation infrastructure design.

The Bridge Design Engineer is required to deliver structural design solutions for bridge and multidisciplinary civil-structural engineering projects across Ireland and the UK.

They will undertake preliminary and detailed design work, including structural analytical modelling, calculations, and design of superstructures, substructures, foundations, and retaining elements.

Participate in early project stages including scoping, survey interpretation, investigative works, optioneering, and scheme design.

Prepare technical reports, specifications, contract documentation, and support drawing production.

Perform independent design checks and provide construction-stage technical support on major infrastructure schemes.

Interface directly with local and national authorities, clients, sub-consultants, and design-and-build contractors.

Requirements

Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Level 8 NFQ or equivalent)

3+ years of post-graduate experience in bridge design and civil structural engineering

Working knowledge of Eurocodes, TII publications (Transport Infrastructure Ireland), or DMRB standards

Demonstrated experience in structural analysis software and analytical modelling

Working towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng MIEI or ICE)

Excellent technical report writing, communication, and multi-disciplinary collaboration skills

Salary 50k - 60k depending on experience
