Process Operator

Abbott seeks a Process Operator for its Cootehill nutrition facility to manage manufacturing operations across milk intake, ingredient preparation, processing, evaporation, and drying stages. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant production of infant formula products on a continental shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment safely from milk intake through drying stages
• Monitor environmental and process conditions, respond to alarms and system faults
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and clean-in-place (CIP) procedures
• Verify product quality, conduct sampling, and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with quality assurance and cross-functional teams on production

Requirements

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification
• Ability to interpret technical data and process readings
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good computer literacy and systems proficiency
• Understanding of cGMP, hygiene standards, and manufacturing procedures
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Process team experience preferred
