Galway Clinical Nurse Manager Galway Nursing Home Opportunity Nursing Home A Clinical Nurse Manager required for an established nursing home in Galway
This nursing home offers an opportunity to play a crucial part in a dynamic and forward-thinking company which provides fantastic support. Position: Clinical Nurse Manager Reporting to: Director of Nursing Qualifications CNM Recruitment Requirements * Registered Nurse with NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland).
* Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, the Health Act 2007, and associated regulations
for older person care.
* Minimum of 1year experience as a SSN Additional Skills * Interest in Gerontology
* Proven Continuous Professional Development.
* Passionate about delivering excellence in safe care for older people.
* Flexible, team-oriented, and committed to the role.
* Demonstrates leadership by example in providing excellent care.
* Excellent communication skills
* Fluent in English, spoken and written. Key Responsibilities * Leadership and Supervision:
* Provide professional and clinical leadership within the unit.
* Supervise qualified and unqualified staff, maintaining a safe working environment.
* Lead infection control initiatives and manage infectious disease protocols.
* Operational Management:
* Support the Nurse Manager in unit management and deputize in her absence.
* Take charge of the unit, ensuring safe staffing levels.
* Complete notifications to relevant authorities in the Nurse Manager's absence.
* Quality Care:
* Deliver evidence-based nursing care.
* Monitor care to ensure well-being of residents.
* Policies and Procedures:
* Adhere to policies, standards, legislation, and codes of practice.
* Contribute to the development of unit policies, quality improvements, and health
and safety standards.
* Training and Education:
* Ability to organize continuing education, guide, and assess staff performance.
* Lead orientation for new staff and act as a preceptor for students.
* Encourage personal and professional development.
* Communication and Teamwork:
* Facilitate good communication within the Team.
