Quality Engineer II

Excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer II to join a global Medical Device company in Galway on a 12 month contract . The Quality Engineer II will report to the QA Manager and the role will focus on complaints investigations. This role will support investigation work and continuous improvement in relation to complaints.  

• Lead complaint approvals, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Conduct complaint investigations, including device testing where required.
• Perform root cause analysis and determine appropriate actions.
• Monitor product and investigation performance using data analytics.
• Analyse and present complaint trends and key insights.
• Drive process improvements and lead continuous improvement projects.
• Make independent decisions and manage escalations with minimal supervision.
• Ensure compliance with quality system regulations and standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:

• Level 8 STEM qualification with 2–3 years’ relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and project management skills.
• Proven ability to drive change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of product design, manufacturing, functionality, or clinical use environments.
• Strong technical, communication, organisational, and data analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
