Brown Bag Films is currently seeking a highly skilled and leadership-oriented Senior Storyboard Revisionist to join our Dublin team. This role is a vital bridge between creative vision and technical execution, ensuring that our stories are told with visual excellence and narrative clarity.

Role Overview
The Senior Storyboard Revisionist is a critical hire within our production pipeline. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality storyboard revision panels that align with the Director’s vision while ensuring all deadlines are met across the Production and Post-Production departments.
Beyond technical execution, this is a leadership role. You will act as a mentor and coordinator for the Storyboard Revisionist Team, streamlining workflows, identifying recurring production hurdles, and ensuring that the visual style of the series remains consistent from script to screen.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Execution & Revision
Note Integration: Respond with speed and precision to creative notes, translating revisions during the storyboard review and animatic process into polished visual panels.
Style Adherence: Maintain the specific quality, aesthetic, and character “on-model” requirements of the show, ensuring consistency across all drawings.
Script Translation: Interpret complex scripts and transform narrative beats into compelling visual forms that enhance the storytelling.
Leadership & Coordination
Team Mentorship: Support and guide junior Storyboard Revisionists, providing constructive feedback and helping them refine their technical skills.
Workflow Optimization: Identify recurring issues in board deliveries and collaborate with Production to implement proactive solutions.
Task Management: Coordinate the daily activity of the revisionist team, ensuring workload is distributed effectively to meet delivery milestones.
Communication & Pipeline Management
Department Liaison: Proactively communicate with the Director, Post-Production, and Previz departments to keep all stakeholders updated on progress and deadlines.
Project Tracking: Maintain and update the storyboard production folders and the revisions tracker to ensure transparency across the pipeline.
Time Bidding: Provide accurate time estimates for revision tasks to assist production management in scheduling.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Industry Tenure: Proven experience in the animation industry, specifically within CG animation for TV, film, or cinematics. Candidates are expected to have been credited on at least two professional series.
Portfolio Excellence: A strong track record of producing storyboards and revisions across multiple successful productions.
Legal Standing: Candidates must have the right to work in Ireland for the full duration of the 9–12 month contract.
Educational Background: While a formal Animation Qualification is desirable, we prioritize a demonstrable passion for storytelling and a portfolio that showcases professional-grade work.
Technical Skills & Competencies
Artistic Proficiency: Advanced understanding of acting, animation posing, cinematography, staging, and composition.
Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard digital software, specifically Storyboard Pro and Adobe Photoshop .
Efficiency: The ability to produce high-quality artwork under tight deadlines without compromising the project’s creative integrity.
Critical Thinking: A proactive approach to troubleshooting revision workflow practices and improving current studio standards.
