Wicklow, A67 P793 Closing date: 29 Sep 2026 M&D Mobile & General Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator / MIG Welder to join our team in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow. The successful candidate will fabricate and weld a range of steel products for domestic, commercial and structural projects, including gates, railings, fencing, balconies, stairs, fire escapes, balustrades, handrails, access ramps, mezzanine floors and structural steel components. Main duties:

• MIG welding and fabrication of mild-steel components
• Reading and working from technical drawings and measurements
• Measuring, marking, cutting, drilling, grinding and assembling steel
• Fabricating gates, railings, stairs, balconies and structural steel products
• Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy and quality
• Operating workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely
• Carrying out welding and installation work on-site when required
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area

Requirements:

• Previous professional experience as a metal fabricator and MIG welder
• Strong MIG welding and general fabrication skills
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Experience working with structural and architectural steelwork
• Ability to work accurately from measurements and specifications
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant welding or fabrication qualification is desirable
