At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Senior Buyer to join our client’s growing team based in Tralee. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experiencedSenior Purchaser with experience in the interior product industry to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.

Your new role includes:

Sourcing and selecting suppliers for bathroom products, tiles, and related materials across Ireland and Europe.
Negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and secure competitive advantages.
Monitoring stock levels and managing inventory to balance product availability with minimising excess stock.
Collaborating with showroom, sales, installation, and warehouse teams to forecast demand and plan procurement, as well as ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Participating in supplier audits, product selection for showroom displays, and supplier relationship management.
Attending national and international trade shows, product seminars, and supplier site visits.

Experience you need:

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role at a senior level.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and procurement or inventory management software.
Strong understanding of bathroom products, fixtures, tiles, and industry trends.
Ability to manage supplier relationships and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (2:1 or higher).
Established supplier network within Ireland and Europe beneficial but not essential.
