NPD Manager

The Role:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven NPD Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing the day-to-day development of new products from concept through to launch, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with regulatory and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the end-to-end NPD process, from idea generation to product launch.
Ensure all product developments meet food safety and legislative requirements.
Develop and launch innovative products that align with brand and customer expectations.
Source raw materials and manage customer samples as required.
Maintain and evolve the innovation pipeline in line with business strategy.
Collaborate with internal departments including Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Technical to ensure smooth execution of NPD projects.
Engage with customers to deliver tailored product solutions.
Prepare and present new product concepts to internal teams and clients.
Support all product launch activities and ensure smooth market introductions.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Manage seasonal development briefs including packaging and cost control.

Candidate Profile:

Degree in Food Science or a related field.
1–3+ years’ experience in a similar NPD role, ideally within a food-related category.
Strong technical and commercial understanding of product development.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
Capable of working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
Energetic and results-driven team player.
Previous experience working with UK retailers or multi-national accounts is an advantage.
